Heading to the Riva on the Saturday before the start of lent, the Riva was packed. It seems that lots of families were celebrating with their children, who were all dressed up for carnival.

Crazy carnival costumes - about a dozen guys wearing these crazy hats. They also had tin cans roped around their waist, so they made hilarious noises as they jumped up and down.
