We stuffed the minivan with all of our belongings -- we sure accumulated a lot of stuff over a few months! It actually took two trips, though the second trip was sparse and just bigger/unwieldy items.

Okay, everything is now put away, here's our new apartment! This is the kitchen/dining room/living room/Jay's office.

A look at our nice big kitchen table. It has six chairs, but we've moved them around the apartment because we don't need all six there taking up space. And that's my "office" against the wall. I'm happy that we can now live and work in the same space since we were living and working in a tiny room the past couple months!

And here's our kitchen, tucked underneath the steps. We didn't have a good place for our microwave or toaster oven, so their stacked on top of one of our dining room chairs.

The ground floor has just the one room, when you head up the stairs you'll find a bathroom and two bedrooms.

Our bedroom. We don't have quite as much closet space, but we still had enough for all of our clothes (even though my clothes were banished to the second bedroom!)

Now we're outside our apartment. This is our private terrace and entrance to our place. You're looking at the back of the building. As you'll see in the upcoming photos, to reach our apartment, you walk through a door on the street around the side of the building to the back. We have a nice, quiet, private entrance.

Standing in our backyard looking at our building - we have part of the first and second floors (ground and first floors if you're counting Euro-style).

Our backyard with a couple of charcoal grills. Our neighbors used it on Sunday to grill out, and everything smelled great. I think we'll have to make some friends.

The door leads you out onto the street, and the mailboxes for the building's residents are along the right.

This is the door from the street into our apartment. In real life, it looks even more rickety than it does in this photo. We like its "character"!

As you can see here, the door looks like it takes you inside a building. But in reality, it just takes you into a little covered walkway for about 15 feet, and then it opens up to a walkway that takes you around the building to our entrance. All of the other residents enter along the side of the building.

Our new home is on a very narrow street. That van could barely fit!

Walking down our street towards town, the roadway changes from asphalt to cobblestone!
